Final call for Business Charity Awards

Charties urged to prompt business partners to enter

Entries for the new Business Charity Awards, intended to reward the charitable efforts of UK companies, are about to close.

The awards, launched this year by Third Sector and the Institute of Fundraising, feature 15 categories, ranging from Charity Partner and Cause-related Marketing to Business Charity Champion.

"It's not too late to enter the awards," said Stephen Cook, editor of Third Sector. "The deadline is tomorrow, but allowances will be made for latecomers. Businesses deserve more recognition for their charitable efforts, and I urge charities to alert their business partners and encourage them to enter."

Full details of the awards and how to enter them can be found on the awards website.

Next month, a panel of sector experts will judge the entries. The winners will be announced at a black-tie ceremony in London on Tuesday 29 June.
