Finance: ICT Hub to launch bursary scheme

The ICT Hub is launching a new bursary scheme to help voluntary organisations learn about ICT strategy by visiting each other.

Organisations that are using ICT well or in inventive ways will receive up to £150 for giving their time and sharing their experience. Those that pay them a visit will be able to claim up to £200 in expenses.

The hub plans to spread learning across the sector by making the lessons from such visits available on its website.

Nicky Thompson, project manager at the ICT Hub, said: "This scheme will allow small voluntary and community organisations to learn about the pitfalls and benefits of new ICT projects from similar organisations, before putting them into practice themselves."

The ICT Hub is part of the Government's ChangeUp voluntary sector infrastructure initiative. It officially began operating at the start of the year.
