Membership of the Charity Finance Directors' Group (CFDG) has increased by around 15 per cent in the past year, according to the body's annual report.
The group had 870 members at the end of 2001 compared with 774 the previous year.
Subscriptions grew by 50 per cent to £230,000.
The report also highlights two new regional groups set up in 2001, the CFDG's education work on mergers and reputational risk and its collaboration with ACEVO and the Institute of Fundraising.
The CFDG's director Shirley Scott said: "After a successful year, we are in a strong position to launch the Charities Resource Network, our new web-based information service, this winter. We have also been able to designate £100,000 towards providing additional membership services."
The CFDG plans to hold its first Parliamentary reception in March next year.
