Finance News: Impetus names venture manager

Venture philanthropy fund the Impetus Trust has appointed its first venture philanthropy manager.

Amelia Sussman will manage the relationship with charities at all stages of the venture philanthropy process - from initial screening to investment.

Previously a freelance consultant, Sussman has worked as an independent assessor for the NHS Appointments Commission and as chief operating officer of leadership organisation Common Purpose.

Judith Brodie, chief executive at Impetus, said: "Amelia brings experience and enthusiasm to this role. Her appointment increases our capacity to invest in new charities."

The Lloyds TSB Foundation is funding Sussman in the first year in her post.
