A new business support scheme has been launched for social enterprises in London.
Time to Deliver: A Social Enterprise Support Strategy for London was developed by the London Social Economy Taskforce, which includes Social Enterprise London, the London Development Agency and the Government Office for London.
As part of the strategy, a referral system will be developed between business support organisations and social enterprises. A guide will also be produced to help social enterprises find a business adviser.
Advice services Business Link for London and the London Business Support Network will offer assistance to social enterprises under the scheme.
The strategy was launched by the minister for social enterprise Stephen Timms. "The strategy is the first integrated scheme of its kind in the UK. With its commitment to delivering crucial services to enterprises in London, it will provide real support for the Government's own strategy."
