Find a partner and raise some cash

Cilla Black, the queen of match-making and presenter of hit TV show Blind Date, would no doubt approve. Aspire, the spinal cord injury charity, is shunning the ubiquitous fundraising fun run in favour of a mass blind date to bring love to single Londoners.

Meet at Last Big Summer Date takes place at different locations across the capital on 11 August. Single people who sign up will be matched to suitable partners, and participating men will be sent envelopes with details of what their dates will involve.
Women will receive special bags so their prospective partners can identify them. Both will be directed to meet close to the date’s location.
Dates could be anything from a walk in a park to dinner for two at a top London restaurant. Organisers of the event hope to set a world record as well as raise cash
