Focus: Fundraising - Monopoly money

Four Northampton teenagers took to the streets of London with a Monopoly board to raise money for the children's charity Make-A-Wish Foundation UK. Starting at Euston and dressed as fairies, Sarah Lewis, Vickey Bradbury, Becky Mann, and Gemma Willis asked members of the public to throw a die to show them where to go next. Making their way around London, they urged friends to sponsor them for the number of destinations visited before heading home in the afternoon. The quartet raised about £700 for the charity. Amanda Maskell, regional manager of Make-A-Wish, plans to repeat the stunt. She said: "The girls were brilliant to come up with such a fun and novel fundraising idea."
