Focus on ... MS Cake Break Day

MS Cake Break Day is the Multiple Sclerosis Society Week's main fundraising event, and this year it takes place on 15 April.

People are asked to make or buy a cake, and invite friends or colleagues round for tea. A donation is made for every slice they eat.

- Last year, the event raised a total of £100,000

- The charity hopes that 400,000 people will join in this year. Donations will be used to support projects such as the Multiple Sclerosis Nurses Programme

- Multiple Sclerosis is an incurable neurological condition that is thought to affect around 85,000 people in the UK.
