Forum to support contract brokers

The NCVO and Futurebuilders have launched a network for voluntary sector managers responsible for negotiating and managing public service contracts.

The Public Service Delivery Network will be supported by publications and an annual conference.

It will also be open to statutory bodies that want to improve their relations with the voluntary sector.

Stuart Etherington, chief executive of the NCVO, said: "The network will help to develop capacity within the sector by providing a forum for peer support and professional development opportunities.

"We hope it will provide a springboard for effective partnership working, both between the voluntary sector and the public sector and within the voluntary sector itself."

The NCVO has also announced a major collaboration programme with the NACVS. The two bodies will hold joint conferences, share documents and make a joint submission to the Comprehensive Spending Review.
