Four redundancies at New Philanthropy Capital

Jobs go from research department in restructure

Donor information organisation New Philanthropy Capital has made four employees redundant.

The charity has let four staff go in its research department as part of a general restructure of the organisation designed to cut costs.

Sue Wixley, head of communications and marketing at NPC, said: "We've been going through a strategic review, so it's part of a restructuring process.

"The restructuring was happening anyway, but there is a broader context of something that is affecting all charities. Like lots of organisations at the moment, we are having to think quite carefully about our costs."

The charity has appointed a head of strategy to help the organisation more clearly define its purpose and is also drawing up a strategic plan.
