offers charities free creative help

Media expertise listed in new online database

Charities can access free creative help through a new online database of people willing to lend their skills to good causes.

Third sector organisations can search by expertise for media professionals on the free They can also post adverts for projects with which they want help, such as making a film or developing a social network.

Founder Luke Bradford said the site cut out the need for agency middlemen.

Bradford, a senior producer in creative services at BBC Worldwide, said the idea was that people in the creative industry would provide their services either for free or for preferential rates. No money changes hands through the site.

Thirty photographers, web designers, graphic designers, film makers and music composers have added their details since the site went live.
