FRSB quizzes members on advisory forum

The Fundraising Standards Board has asked its members how a membership advisory forum should be put together.

It has sent them a questionnaire on the structure, function and membership of the body and encourages FRSB  members to volunteer to join.

The planned forum forms part of the "new phase of development" announced by the regulatory body in August, which includes increased membership fees for larger charities and a lower recruitment target (Third Sector Online, 15 August).

Jon Scourse, chief executive of the FRSB, said members should support the forum for it to be effective. "It is vital that members help to determine the role of this new initiative," he said. "We welcome and look forward to receiving their views."

Members have until 21 November to respond and the FRSB hopes to hold the forum's first meeting in early 2009.
