Full-frontal assault

The Everyman campaign has sent this poster of naked male celebrities wearing a giant pair of Y-fronts to national and regional newspapers, as part of this month's Everyman Male Cancer Awareness Month. The campaign, which raises awareness of testicular and prostate cancer, was set up by the Institute of Cancer Research in 1997.

The assortment of celebrities - Olympic runner Iwan Thomas, newsreader Jon Snow, comedians Dave Gorman and Graham Norton, actor Simon Callow and presenter Dermot O'Leary - lined up to show the indiscriminate nature of the two cancers. Organisers hope the campaign will increase men's awareness of the signs and symptoms of the cancers, as both are largely curable if detected early.
