Fundraising: Conference looks at school giving

Engaging young people with a cause will a main subject at a London conference on fundraising in schools on 25 February.

Experts will also lead workshops on issues such as how to approach schools for fundraising.

Giving Nation, which was set up by the now-defunct Giving Campaign to promote giving among young people, is organising the event with the Institute of Fundraising and umbrella body the NCVO.

"With citizenship firmly on the education curriculum, there is an opportunity to develop knowledge and appreciation of this subject as a key access point," said Giving Nation spokeswoman Lindsey Bailey.

The conference, which takes place at the NCVO's headquarters in London, is aimed at charity fundraisers and education teams. The attendance fee is £60.
