FUNDRAISING NEWS: Body Shop appeal aims to raise £100k

The Body Shop Foundation wants its first-ever fundraising campaign to raise £100,000 over two years for its Protect the Child scheme, which tackles child sex abuse.

"Protect the Child is about you, about us and about time," said the charity's founder Dame Anita Roddick.

Plans to work with charities on the education, prevention and aftermath of child sex abuse will be launched amid 800 guests at the Crystal Carousel Party at London's Old Billingsgate on Friday.
