Fundraising news in brief

The Institute of Fundraising has published a revised draft code of practice on legacy fundraising for consultation.

Charities in London working to improve the skills and employment prospects of deprived people in the capital are invited to apply for a share of £3.6m in grant funding from London councils and the European Social Fund. Grants are open to schemes running between April 2007 and March 2008.

The RNIB has received more than £200,000 from the Football Foundation and HSBC to help pay for its Soccer Sight project for the next three years. The project is designed to deliver match commentary and improve access to football for blind and partially sighted fans at professional clubs.

Cascaid, the charity marketing agency, has hired two new creative directors. Simon Frank joins from marketing agency Ogilvy & Mather. Reuben Turner joins from direct marketing agency Proximity.
