The Kage Partnership, a fundraising recruitment agency, said in its annual recruitment survey that direct marketers and corporate fundraisers are in high demand.

It also found that corporate fundraisers at all levels commanded higher salaries in 2006 than in 2005.

The RSPB and St John Ambulance are among the charities to sign up with new ethical marketing agency Feel. Created as a sub-brand of direct marketing agency Blac, Feel will specialise in services for charities, ethical businesses and government.

Everyclick, the charity search engine, has created a sponsorship package aimed at online advertisers. Companies can designate a charity to receive 50 per cent of their advertising spend as unrestricted income.

UK Fundraising has created a blog to cover news and information about the Institute of Fundraising's national awards. It will profile shortlisted fundraisers, campaigns and organisations in the run-up to the institute's national convention on 9 July.
