FUNDRAISING NEWS: CAF America offers to boost giving to UK charities by $5K

UK charities may be able to increase the value of donations they receive from US donors by $5,000 (£2,900) per grant by encouraging the grant-maker to use CAF America's services.

CAF America has pledged to top up individual grants, providing the donor is a first-time user of its services.

UK-registered charities can apply for the extra funding by completing a Grant Eligibility Application available on CAF's website, cafonline.org.

Once the UK charities are judged eligible, they will be added to a database that prospective US donors can access when searching for organisations to give to.

Each charity's eligibility will be reassessed every three years in line with US due diligence laws.

CAF America chief executive Dr Susan Saxon-Harrold said: "If a charity finds it has donors that have never used CAF America's services before, and it encourages them to use us, they will qualify for this one-off incentive top-up."
