Fundraising News: Celebrities appear in a nude calendar to support autism

Celebrities have been lining up to pose nude for a fundraising calendar in aid of Autism Cymru, the Welsh national charity for autism.

The idea for the nude celebrity calendar and collection of nude celebrity portraits entitled 'cnawd' - 'nude' in Welsh - comes from the support group Friends of Autism Cymru.

Award-winning Welsh photographer Huw Talfryn Walters produced the work, which includes poses by Amy Guy, Miss Wales; pin-up Alex Dunn; Sky News presenter Rhodri Ogwen Williams; rugby legend Ray Gravell; and Welsh Assembly member Rhodri Glyn Thomas.

Friends of Autism Cymru spokeswoman Eirlys Eckley said: "We have been completely overwhelmed by the generosity and support that we have received from celebrities and sponsors."

The calender will retail at £10 and a print run of 1,000 has been planned, but media coverage could push orders beyond that.
