FUNDRAISING NEWS: Children's Wish set for prison run funds

The Children's Wish Foundation plans to raise around £10,000 from its second triathlon challenge between prisoners and officers at Wormwood Scrubs prison next Thursday.

Last year's triathlon raised £2,000, but twice as many teams are competing this time. Six groups of three people will row 31 miles, cycle 116 miles and run a marathon, in the prison gym.

Three teams of inmates and one team each from staff, the probation service and the charity will compete for the Steve Conibeere Memorial Trophy, named after a fellow prison officer who died last year.
