Fundraising News: Church Army hires fundraising boss to beat income levels

The Church Army has appointed a marketing executive from services charity St Dunstan's as its new head of fundraising.

Rosemary Cottrell, who was previously head of marketing at the charity for blind ex-servicemen and women, will aim to increase the Church Army's income above its current level of £3m.

Cottrell worked on campaign development and online marketing at St Dunstan's.

"I am looking forward to growing strong financial support for the work of the Church Army through committed individual donors and parishes throughout the UK," she said.

The Church Army, which is a society of evangelists within the Anglican communion, receives all of its income from individual donations and legacies.

Cottrell's previous positions include national membership marketing manager at the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants. She will be responsible for developing a new fundraising strategy at the charity.
