The National Society for Epilepsy has appointed James Quinn as assistant director of fundraising.
Quinn has 13 years' experience in fundraising in the voluntary sector, and most recently worked as trusts and corporate development manager at Cancer Bacup.
Previous roles included working as a campaigns manager on an Age Concern project that raised £1.3m to refurbish day centres across west London.
The society runs a confidential helpline, raises funds to support medical research into epilepsy and provides residential care.
Quinn said: "Helping to lead the effort to fund the cost of opportunities that lie ahead for this special organisation is all the motivation a person needs. Fundraising is the best career decision I ever made."
