What is the project and when will it start? It's for a home support service in south London, which will provide support to older people, and it will start next month.

Do you need further funding to set up this project? No, because we have also received grants from the Community Fund and the Beatrice Laing Trust.

How many trusts or foundations did you apply to for this project? Four and we got funding from three.

Was the application a simple process? No, it was thorough and detailed.

What feedback have you had from charities about this funding stream? The importance of the programme was highlighted during a sector-wide consultation last summer, which focused on enriching life in residential care.

Do you offer core funding and what else do you fund? Grants are given for either running or capital costs.

What should charities do to improve their chances of making a successful application? They should read our brochure, understand our priority areas and justify their application.

How long is the application process? From date of receipt of application, it takes approximately four months to reach a decision.
