FUNDRAISING NEWS: Mary Rose Trust secures grant

The Mary Rose Trust has secured a £4.1 million grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund to help complete the second phase of the conservation of Henry VIII's ship in Portsmouth harbour. The vessel's hull, which was raised 20 years ago after 437 years underwater, is undergoing a three-phase conservation. The first two involve treating the decayed and waterlogged timbers.
