FUNDRAISING NEWS: Musicians perform concerts for Welsh children's charity

Musicians are performing in concerts across Wales in aid of children's charity NCH Cymru.

The "Making Music Matter

project will bring classical and traditional music to communities across Wales.

Concerts have already taken place in the Swansea Bay area, but the campaign is being extended across Wales as part of a larger fundraising drive.

All proceeds will go towards developing the charity's services for disadvantaged children.

The project is being supported by conductor Owain Arwel Hughes, artistic director of the Welsh Proms. Concerts planned include a cabaret event and an evening of Latin American Jazz.

Charlotte Wright, NCH Cymru fundraising coordinator for South Wales, said: "We have already had a very encouraging response from musicians in the Swansea Bay area. Now with the added support, we are extending the campaign to boost fundraising nationally."
