Workplace Giving UK, a new specialist provider of employee fundraising services, has signed up major charities including the RNLI, Shelter, the National Deaf Children's Society, Friends of the Earth Trust and Amnesty International charitable trust.
The company was formed by senior staff of Caring Together, the charitable payroll-giving company that went into administration after parent charity, the Cancer Care Foundation, was investigated by the Charity Commission last year (Third Sector, 1 October 2003).
"It made sense for Workplace Giving UK to employ people with the skills, know-how and expertise in payroll giving, who were made redundant at Caring Together," said a spokeswoman.
Workplace Giving UK provides administration and marketing to companies to run payroll, online and direct debit workplace giving, as well as organising challenge events. Its clients include last minute.com, the Home Office, Easyjet and Express Newspapers.
