FUNDRAISING NEWS: Norwood aims for £75,000 with first appeal since rejig

Norwood, the Jewish children and family charity, is launching its first fundraising appeal since its rebranding earlier this year.

The campaign has been timed to coincide with the Rosh Hashanah holiday and will go out to Norwood's database of supporters. The campaign will have community focus and aims to raise at least £75,000.

The appeal asks supporters, "Who would you leave out? Nobody? Neither can we. We can't manage without you". It is designed to emphasise that the charity depends on the continued support of its donor base in order to continue to provide a full range of services.

Norma Brier, chief executive at Norwood, said: "It's our philosophy never to turn anyone away, but ensuring that this philosophy is a reality costs the organisation £8 million a year.

"We are saying to the community - the future of vulnerable families is dependent on you, and we urge you to respond to our needs.
