FUNDRAISING NEWS: Oxfam recruits two fundraising heads as part of overhaul

Oxfam is recruiting two fundraising directors as part of a major overhaul of its marketing strategy.

The new posts were created following the departure of fundraising director Simon Collings in February to become chief executive of the Resource Alliance.

The posts will form part of the planned restructuring of Oxfam's marketing division, as reported last October in Third Sector.

"Oxfam has decided that rather than have a single director of fundraising we will have two posts, one focused on institutions and the other on the public," said marketing director John Whitaker. "We have ambitious plans in both areas and decided that we need dedicated attention for each area."

The new posts reflect Oxfam's plans to focus on specific target audiences and put the supporter at the heart of its fundraising activity.

The closing date for applications is 18 April.
