FUNDRAISING NEWS: Rethink celebrates fundraising event

Rethink, the UK's largest severe mental illness charity, is celebrating the success of a unique fundraising event in which award-winning actress and supporter of the charity, Stephanie Cole, took part in a one-off performance of a popular Alan Bennett monologue.

Cole, who is best known for her roles in the TV shows Tenko and Waiting for God, performed "Soldering On", which was created especially for her as part of the Talking Heads series in 1986.

Bennett waived the royalty fee for the performance at the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London last weekend. The charity is still calculating how much was raised.
