FUNDRAISING NEWS: RNID appoints duo for fundraising job

The RNID will replace its long-term acting director of fundraising, Amanda Ball, with Patrick Holmes, who moves into the role from Macmillan Cancer Relief.

Holmes spent 18 months as head of fundraising for the south and west UK regions at the cancer charity. He will develop the RNID's funds across all main income streams such as events, corporate, trust, individual and statutory sources, and will oversee more than 50 staff.

The charity has also appointed Michelle Chambers as director of regional and statutory fundraising.

John Low, chief executive of the RNID, said: "It's great news for the charity that these two appointments have been made as they bring a wealth of experience to the organisation."
