FUNDRAISING NEWS: Royal Society set to issue science funds

The Royal Society is appealing for science projects to come forward and apply for funding after its Copus Grant Scheme announced that the available money will nearly double from £385,000 to £750,000 this year.

The extra cash became available after the Office of Science and Technology boosted its funding to the scheme following a recent review investigating how scientific issues are communicated in the UK.

Grants ranging from £5,000-£50,000 are available to projects that engage people with contemporary issues linked with science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine.
