Standard Life Group is launching "Give it Life" staff fundraising initiative in conjunction with three charities.
The staff at Europe's largest mutual life assurance company will support the Breast Cancer Campaign, the Prostate Cancer Charity and the Royal National Institute of the Blind.
The Give it Life initiative will challenge staff to give or raise £25 each over the next year for the three charities.
Rory White, who works for Standard Life, said: "Twenty five pounds isn't a lot of money to raise in a year but if everyone does it, we can make a big difference to the charities. It's a brilliant idea."
Standard Life hopes that the initiative will raise in excess of £250,000 for the causes during its year-long run.
Each of the charities have visited the staff to demonstrate the work that they are involved in and show staff how their funds will be spent.
Marcia Campbell, managing director of human resources and company secretary at Standard Life, said: "These charities are very important to us. We are in no doubt that Standard Life staff will raise funds in excess of the targets and have fun at the same time."
