FUNDRAISING NEWS: WaterAid to benefit from utility initiative

Utility company Thames Water is hosting an event designed to raise more than £50,000 for WaterAid.

The event coincides with the charity's 21st birthday and is the latest initiative that Thames Water has launched to support WaterAid's overseas projects.

Money will be raised through a series of activities including a raffle, an auction and charity casino tables. Staged in Greenwich, London on the 30 October, the event will be attended by 400 guests.

The utility company started supporting WaterAid in 1989 and has raised more than £14 million through staff, customer and community fundraising programmes.
