FUNDRAISING NEWS: Whizz-Kidz named as Mirror's charity

National children's mobility charity Whizz-Kidz has been chosen to benefit from this year's Daily Mirror Christmas Appeal.

The charity is hoping to raise £50,000 from the newspaper throughout the festive period. The Mirror will run editorial on the charity to encourage readers to donate and support Whizz-Kidz as it expands its services next year.

The money raised will be used to buy specialised equipment such as customised wheelchairs.

The Clailey Heritage School in Sussex, which caters for children with physical and learning disabilities, will also benefit from the Mirror appeal.
