FUNDRAISING NEWS: Woodland Trust to help save farmland

The Woodland Trust is to launch an appeal to raise £500,000 to preserve a major piece of land in the South East that has been donated to the trust anonymously.

Coinciding with the trust's 30th birthday, the woodland conservation charity has become the recipient of the 500 acres of farmland in Fordham, Essex, which will be used to create a massive new woodland and wetland habitat in the county.

The Woodland Trust is initially inviting local people and companies in the area, as well as ardent supporters of the trust, to visit the site and hopes to drum up financial support for the project.
