The Fundraising Regulator has appointed Charlotte Urwin as its new head of policy.
Urwin, who joined the body this week, previously worked at the Marine Stewardship Council, where she was head of standards, policy and assurance.
Before that, she was head of standards and regulation at the Independent Press Standards Organisation. She has also held policy roles at Macmillan Cancer Support and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity.
Urwin succeeds Priya Warner, who left the regulator last year to become head of policy at the social housing provider Moat Homes.
Gerald Oppenheim, chief executive of the Fundraising Regulator, said of Urwin: "Her breadth of experience in policy roles and the charity sector will be a great asset to the organisation as we look ahead and will help us ensure that we maintain high levels of public trust and quality of fundraising."
