Futurebuilders invites charities to apply for loans online

Futurebuilders England has launched a new website that will enable charities to apply for loans online as part of a drive to speed up the application process.

The organisation, which is responsible for the £215m government fund designed to help charities run public services, has ditched the old application form process.

Customers can contact the organisation by an online enquiry on the website or by calling the information line. An investment officer will then call back and speak to the applicant to find out if they are eligible for funds.

If it is decided to proceed with the application, it can be done with the details already provided.

"In the current economic climate, it is more important than ever for third sector organisations to consider alternative financing options to ensure their long-term sustainability," said Gill Nunn, market development director at Futurebuilders.

"We hope that our new, easy-to-use website will encourage more organisations to apply for an investment from us, which in turn will allow us to help even more organisations win contracts to deliver public services."

The website will also provide information about Futurebuilders' products and services, top tips for customers, as well as interactive tools such as a loan repayment calculator and an investment search function.
