Futurebuilders workshops for loan applicants in south-west

Futurebuilders England will hold one-to-one surgeries in Bristol later this month designed to help small third sector organisations interested in applying for loans.

Futurebuilders decided to hold the surgeries in Bristol after similar surgeries held in London, Newcastle and Liverpool aroused considerable interest in the south-west.

The free surgery day will take place on 29 November at the Southville Centre, Bristol, and will be open to all third sector organisations, including voluntary and community groups, charities, social enterprises and community interest groups. Attendees will learn about loan finance and how to submit effective applications.

“Feedback from other events has shown that organisations value the opportunity to sit down face-to-face with us to discuss their proposal before submitting applications,” said Marianne Patterson, senior outreach officer at Futurebuilders England.

“We know that pre-application support pays off – approximately 88 per cent of applicants who have received pre-application support are successful in being shortlisted for investment, compared with 68 per cent of those who haven’t received support.”
