Gift Aid payments claimed have increased

Gift Aid payments claimed by charities have increased by £100m since the last financial year, according to paymaster general Dawn Primarolo. Last week she announced that charities had received £728m in Gift Aid during 2005/06, compared with £628m in 2004/05.
