Third Sector is asking readers to give their views on what it is like to work in the voluntary sector in its annual survey.

Charity Pulse, which is run by Third Sector in conjunction with Birdsong Charity Consulting, gives staff the chance to have their say on subjects including their workplaces and their leaders.

The poll, which is in its eighth year, covers other subjects including morale, work-life balance and pay.

The survey asks for the first time this year whether staff agree with the amount their chief executives are paid.

Respondents can participate anonymously or leave their details to be entered into a draw from which one winner will receive three free coaching sessions with Birdsong.

It takes about 10 minutes to complete.

Last year’s study found that levels of job satisfaction in the sector rose slightly after hitting an all-time low in 2012.

To take part in the survey, go to The survey will be open until 11 April.
