Government invites bids for overseas volunteering contract

Department for Business, Innovation and Skills will fund scheme for recent graduates

The Department for Business, Innovation and Skills is inviting bids to run a £320,000 contract to create 320 overseas volunteering placements by October 2010.

The department is inviting proposals from charities and other groups that can create the placements, which will be for recent graduates who received means-tested support at university.

All of the volunteering placements must start by October.

The deadline for applications is 12pm on 18 December.
