Grants to fund governance development

Grants are on offer for umbrella organisations and federated charities as part of the latest round of the Governance Hub's Partnership Programme.

The funding will be aimed at projects that promote good governance, increase governance capacity, or develop skills and support for trustees or advisors, including federations – national charities that have independent local branch charities – that want to support the governance development of their members.

The hub hopes that by working with umbrella organisations and federated charities it can stimulate a significant improvement in the quality of governance in the sector at all levels.

Application details are available to download from the hub’s website. The closing date for applications is 23 August.

The hub’s guide on budgeting for organisational development work, produced in collaboration with the Workforce Hub, is also available for download from today. A printed copy of the guide, ‘Funding and Costing Workforce and Governance Development - A Resource for the Voluntary and Community Sector’ can also be ordered.
