The coalition, which includes the Campaign to Protect Rural England and the Woodland Trust, fears the review, led by Bank of England Monetary Policy Committee member Kate Barker, could diminish community input in the planning process.
Barker proposes removing one of the first public consultation stages in local development frameworks, which set out how planning is managed locally.
Kate Gordon, planning officer at the CPRE, said: "It means that, when local authorities do consult, they will have more or less made up their minds about what they want."
The coalition is urging supporters to use the website (www.planningdisaster.co.uk) to email their MPs. Groups can respond to the Barker review by emailing Barker_Review_of_Planning@communities.gsi.gov.uk.
