The Green Insurance Company has launched a fund offering grants of up to £2,000 to local environmental projects.

The insurer’s Green Grants scheme has a pot of £20,000 to bankroll projects across the UK. Projects eligible for funding include community gardens, local eco-fairs and environmental education initiatives.

Applications for funding are being taken online and applications must be in by 29 August.
