Helen Simmons to become chief executive of Nightingale Hammerson

Nightingale Hammerson, the social care charity, has appointed Helen Simmons as its chief executive. The former Third Sector columnist joins from the Diocese of London, where she is director of finance and operations.

Paul Cullen has become VIP and celebrity manager at Macmillan Cancer Support. Cullen had a similar role at the RNLI, the lifeboat charity, where he worked for more than six years.

Norwood, the learning disability charity, has appointed Julian Anthony as director of finance. He joined the charity earlier this year as financial strategy and planning consultant.

Mary Dawson has joined the literacy charity Springboard for Children as chief executive. Dawson was formerly director of service development at the National Deaf Children's Society and director of education at the English Speaking Union.

The social care charity Community Integrated Care has appointed Elaine Gilbert as its director of organisational development and transformation. One of Gilbert's responsibilities will be the charity's HR strategy.
