Hobbies can chime with volunteering, argues v
Youth volunteering charity v is to launch a new campaign aimed at encouraging young people to take up volunteering opportunities that match their hobbies.
V intends to use the campaign to direct young people to the website vinspired.com, which includes details of local volunteering opportunities and allows volunteers to blog and post videos.
The first phase of the campaign, which was developed by marketing agency Iris, will run until March next year.
Mel Foster, director of marketing and communication at v, said the campaign aimed to “connect with the enthusiasm and energy young people have for their personal passions”.
Foster added: “We feel confident that this campaign will change the perception of volunteering, allowing young people to realise they can combine their interests with volunteering, having fun while benefiting the community and themselves.”
