ICI focuses charity work on deafblind organisation Sense

Chemicals manufacturing giant ICI has formed a fundraising partnership with Sense, the national deafblind organisation.

The multinational company, which produces fragrances and flavours as well as paints, is steering away from making small donations to a wide spectrum of charities towards focusing its support on one main cause.

ICI approached Sense with the idea of developing a long-term partnership because of previous links between the organisations.

Over the past six months, ICI and Sense have been working together to develop a series of events and initiatives, which have aimed to raise awareness of both organisations and their partnership.

Activities under the new partnership begin on Monday with a Sensory Garden Bus tour, which will travel from London's Covent Garden and stop at locations including Peterborough, Birmingham and Teeside.
