Photographs taken by an RNLI volunteer crew member are being showcased in a new book of iconic seafaring images.

Face to Face: Ocean Portraits, by Huw Lewis-Jones, features pictures by professional photographer Nigel Millard, an RNLI volunteer in Torbay.

The work of Rick Tomlinson, a yachting photographer and former RNLI volunteer crew member, who was awarded the RNLI Bronze Medal for Gallantry in 1992 for saving the lives of two fishermen, is also featured in the book.

It also contains the work of other maritime photographer and images from the archives of the RNLI and other maritime organisations and museums.
