Institute of Fundraising: A call for 2006 Convention Board members

Thanks to the leadership of Julius Wolff-Ingham of the Salvation Army, and the commitment of the 2005 Convention Board, this year's National Convention promises to be a thought-provoking and educational three-day event.

Having fulfilled his three-year term as Convention Board chair, Julius is stepping down and Gill Raikes, fundraising director at the National Trust, is taking over. Advance preparation is already paving the way for next year's Convention, and we are inviting people who are interested in playing a key role in the development of 2006's event to join the Board.

The Board features leading figures from across the sector with the sole objective of delivering the learning content of the event. Working in teams of two or three, members have responsibility for relevant fundraising disciplines or 'track'.

This expansion is intended to ensure that the very latest thinking is represented, while retaining as many current Board members as can commit their time again. The diversity of information provided at the Convention will enable fundraisers of all levels to enjoy an unrivalled learning experience and we continue to strive to further improve this experience each year.
