The 2005 Hollis sponsorship awards are in a range of categories: education, environment, media, arts, charity community, and sports.
It is a simple one-page application form, available from www.hollis-pr.com. Contact Rosie Sarginson on 020 8977 7711 or email email@example.com.
The application requires a summary of no more than 1,000 words per entry.
Judges are looking at four main criteria. They are: market background (why was sponsorship and this sponsorship project in particular chosen to fulfil the communications requirement); objectives; execution and exploitation; and outcome and evaluation.
This process really makes you think hard about why you are involved in sponsorship and how you know that it is good for you, rather than just thinking that that's the case.
The cost of the application is £75 plus VAT, but the benefit of being seen as a successful sponsorship partner makes it worth it. One of the funny things about sponsorship is that once you have a proven track record with one sponsor it's much easier to secure your second deal on the back of the credibility of the first. What have you got to lose?
